ROLFINGĀ® Structural Integration

What does a Rolfing Series involve?

The basic framework for Rolfing is a series of 10-12 sessions scheduled about 1-2 weeks apart.  However, not everyone chooses to get a whole series of Rolfing.  I encourage people to try a single session as an introduction to the work.  Restrictions in the body reflect first in the loss of full capacity for the breath.  So, whether your goal is pain resolution, better posture or personal growth, Rolfing begins in a first session restoring  vitality to the body by opening up the capacity for fuller and easier breathing.           ---Each session is 90 minutes in length.

What is Rolf MovementĀ®?

In a nutshell, Rolf Movement teaches a person how to sit, stand, walk and breathe with ease. When less energy is needed for these simple acts of surviving, more energy is free for the experience of thriving.
Each Rolfing session includes an element of re-learning these basics of being in our bodies.   Clients are given a specific sensory awareness to take away from each session as a way of  integrating the changes in their body into their everyday activities.
